British Values
At Welton, we aim to encourage children to understand the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of the law, individual liberty plus mutual respect and tolerance of all faiths, races and cultures. The adults and children of Welton actively embrace, take an interest in, and celebrate all faiths and cultures. We help our children to understand that while people may hold different views about what is "right" and "wrong", all people living in England are subject to its laws.
We encourage children to develop their understanding and interest in spiritual, moral, social and cultural apsects of learning and our whole school ethos of nurture, tolerance and meta-cognition enables children to think about the wider world and a wider range of people and their beliefs.
We have an active School Council and we are developing Pupil Voice Groups.
